Amlin International Moth Regatta

"Even the smallest drop of water can teach you something"

What will the US International Moth fleet be learning this week? They will race from December 7-11 on Great Sound, Bermuda, which also means these lucky sailors get to preview the 35th America's Cup venue.

Boats were packed and shipped into one container from North Carolina during the November training camp and arrived (as well as bikes, food, tools, etc) in time for practice last week.

Unlike many of the US events held lately, this regatta is not only for pride, there is a $10,000 cash purse to be won. Sailing Moths... in Bermuda... competing for money... amongst friends, come on! Could we make this sound any better?

The Royal Bermuda Yacht Club will sell "beers for Bart" throughout the event to profit the Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation, which encourages and improves lives of youth sailors.

Thanks to hospitable Bermudians, all sailors are hosted locally and will surely come back with great island information and stories.
