Splash Cover Seals Stereo Equipment

stereo.jpg (12613 bytes)Many boaters enjoy music while on the water. However, salt and freshwater environments alike are tough on stereo equipment. The WC400 stereo splash cover from Poly-Planar Inc. keeps stereo equipment dry and protected from the elements.

Vitually any type of automibile or marine stereo fits in this waterproof unit. A fully-gasketed ABS housing completely encloses DIN style, dual post and pull-out stereos. The tinted, polycarbonate splash cover prevents water and harmful UV-rays from damaging equipment. It’s hinged for easy access to the controls, and adjusts to provide partial splash protection even when open.

The stereo and antenna are hooked up through the housing with wires and a connector at the back of the WC400 splash cover. A gimball mounting bracket permits installation above or below the dash, or on any horizontal surface. Stainless steel mountiung hardware and instructions are included. The unit is 4" high x 9-1/8" wide x 10-1/2" deep.

Poly-Planar also makes the WC3 panel mount radio splash cover for virtually all marine stereos. The tinted, gasket-sealed lid prevents water entry when closed, and offers partial protection while open. Retail prices start at $69.95 for the WC400 and $24.95 for the WC3.
