At 16 grams (.564 oz), Harken's Black Magic Micro Carbo Cam is one of the lightest cleats available and the smallest addition to its superb line of Cam-Matic cleats. This miniature cleat is designed for high-tech boats, and is perfect for holding small control lines from 1/8" (3mm) to 1/4" (6mm).
The Micro Carbo Cam features lightweight carbon matrix pawls riding on U. V. protected carbon black ball bearings. Because teeth do not have to grip line to keep pawls closed, they are smooth to protect line and reduce wear. Pawls open and close easily both under load and in no load situations.
The easy entry system allows lines to engage without being drawn through the cam, Controls can be precisely adjusted and, with the flick of a wrist, re-engaged without further tensioning and with minimal backlash slippage. Stainless steel wear strips protect the raised cam base when entry or exit leads are not fair in the vertical plane.
