Embarking on the 2006 Caribbean circuit as an unknown contender, Chippewa, a Farr 395 from Port Superior Marina in Bayfield, Wisconsin, has become known as 'the boat to beat'. Skipper and owner, Dave West and his wife Kim, are the common denominators as Midwest locals come and go to make up an ever-changing crew. The West's hope was to be competitive and have stories to tell at the local Bayfield bar for years to come. Do they have stories to tell! After three regattas, they've taken two firsts and one fourth! Race results are as follows:

St. Maarten Heineken Regatta, March 3 - 5, 2006: Tied for 4th place

Culebra Heineken Regatta,
